More Old Odds and Ends, Covering Most of November of 2024

To start with today’s early hours, I wanted to finish editing what I posted just before midnight, to write the section about September 3 properly as well, the initial form of the post just containing the quick notes, and that led to going to the kitchen several minutes after 1 AM… And then I helped dad with a number of things, and I hadn’t even eaten lunch until then, so it was well past 2 AM when I started eating that lunch and ended up eating dinner between 3:35 AM and 4:20 AM. And then it took me a while to fall asleep, but it was worse after waking up when dad left, since I tossed and turned for what must have been about an hour, if not more, before finally getting back to sleep. And at first I couldn’t stay asleep, getting a few naps that were probably only minutes long, though at least I got back to sleep quickly each time, before finally getting about another hour of sleep before the alarm rang, at 3 PM, and I got up to watch handball… Or at least the first half of the match, since the race started at 4 PM and I then watched that, only getting back to handball for those thrilling last few minutes… Which nevertheless ended badly… And, despite getting back in bed in the evening and staying there for about an hour and a half, if I slept at all it couldn’t have been for more than a few moments. On the other hand, I requested and received Dungeons of Dreadrock on The Community Giveaway on the GOG.com forums, and since it seems a nice little thing, I installed and started it right away. So, while it seemed extremely unlikely that I’ll manage to write something non-personal this evening anyway, this gives me an excuse to just add some more old odds and ends that are already written, continuing from what I posted two weeks ago and covering most of November of 2024, at least including some more things about the orders for the new computer and ending when I installed Windows 10 on it.

So I’ll now get to the morning of November 6, when I got in bed at 5:30 AM, and even though things looked quite clear even then, when I woke up the first time to pee, at 9 AM, I briefly got back on-line, the results from that point making Trump’s victory all but certain, so I had no reason to check again the next couple of times I woke up, only doing so after getting up, at 3:15 PM, though by then I had been awake for a while. Either way, I then did the day’s squats, ate lunch, read a little more from Shadow of the Knight, which I had started the previous day, and left at 7:50 PM, with a fish can, which I dropped off in a recycling bin on the way to Penny Basarabia, and the recyclables with the deposit symbol, which I put in the machine from there.
After buying something for dad and two expiring products from there, I also used the voucher received for the recyclables at the checkout, and added a little more to what I’ll need to recover from Penny, since the cashier should have given me a coin as change and didn’t. Then I just put the purchases in a bag and continued to Carrefour, entering through the parking lot and finding a recyclable, so I went to put it in the machine… But what I didn’t find were the cabinets, those that used to be under the escalators having been removed, so I entered with everything, all of the purchases being clearly from Penny, and got some onions and something else for dad, then also used that voucher received for that recyclable at the self-checkout.
After finding two more recyclables on the way to that Kaufland, I put them in the machine, then put the purchases in a cabinet, peed and washed my hands, and entered the store when it was almost 9:25 PM, getting two regular buns and two sweet pastries, with the 50% evening discount, and both also had regular discounts those days. Then I got some fruits and vegetables with good evening discounts, and should have gotten potatoes as well, but I finished picking through the plums, which were once again from Moldova, just before closing time, the closing announcement actually coming seconds after I weighed them. But I still made a little detour, having a quick look at some expiring products before getting to the self-checkout, where I used both the voucher received for those two recyclables and the one which I had been left with from two days earlier, and I also scanned the picture to use dad’s digital store card.
After retrieving what I had in the cabinet and quickly arranging the purchases just a little, I continued to Mega Image, managing to stuff everything in a cabinet and just getting some mushrooms that had the 90% discount, though the cashier had quite a coughing fit just when my turn came. Then I took my time to arrange the purchases properly before walking out, and on the way back a guy asked where and how far the nearest metro station was, so I told him, but I likely underestimated the distance, and while he was jogging before stopping to ask me and continued to do so after I told him, when I checked the time and saw that he only had five minutes before 11 PM, I realized that he wasn’t going to get there unless he’ll really run all the way, and with the last train coming from Dristor reaching this station in some two minutes, he most likely wasn’t going to catch that one, though he could still catch one going in that direction and, with luck, maybe even the connection from there. Either way, I also quickly checked the nearby Mega Image when I got back here, leaving the bag in front of the cabinets but entering with the backpack, then just grabbing the bag again.
It was almost 11:10 PM when I got back, with 13 kg, and then I cleaned the litter box and went to drop a bag of trash down the chute. Then I ate a few plums and one of the sweet pastries, put the purchases in their place, except one thing that I left for dad to deal with, and at 12:30 AM I went to the bathroom, to use the toilet and wash, being done just before 1:20 AM. But dad still hadn’t dealt with that thing, only doing so after I went back to the kitchen, so he got in my way for a little while, and I also had plenty to wash and clean, but being able to just use something he had brought for most of the salad meant starting to eat dinner at 3:10 AM and still managing to finish at 3:40 AM.

After clogging the toilet and needing to unclog it late in the evening, in the early hours of November 8, when I was starting to make the salad and wanted to sprinkle some thyme in there, what came out was some black dust. Fortunately, the only thing that was already there was what I could save from an onion that was going bad and I quickly washed it, but that was after putting a little of that dust on my tongue, and I felt quite weird after that, despite rinsing my mouth multiple times. And after I took that thing’s lid off and looked inside, the thyme looked completely normal, not turned to dust, so I wondered what that was and where had it come from, since I hadn’t noticed anything on the lid. But that weird feeling passed, and when I first woke up, just before 8:50 AM, after going to pee I got on the computer and made the orders for the CPU, motherboard and RAM, plus a DVI to HDMI adapter. And at 11:50 AM I got back in bed, but it took me a very long time to manage to fall asleep again, so I only caught a brief nap before dad got back, which he said should have been around 2 PM, but then I stayed in bed a while longer, I might have even caught another very brief nap, and only checked the time around 2:30 PM, getting up a little after that. And that afternoon I also ordered some books, from that store that I used to order from before they used the pandemic as an excuse to stop allowing orders to be picked up, managing to put together an order that allowed for free delivery… Which ended up being a month and a half late. But, to return to that day, after also doing the day’s squats, I left at 6:15 PM.
On the way to Carrefour, I picked up a label with the deposit symbol off a flattened plastic bottle, and then a pretty crushed bottle that also had the symbol, which I tried to straighten to some extent on the way to the machine, doing so well enough for it to be accepted after a few tries. And I found two more recyclables there, the plastic bottle being accepted, but the can wasn’t, so I took it and left it next to the entrance to Carrefour, picking it back up after just getting an expiring bread for dad, using that voucher at the self-checkout and then putting the bread in the backpack.
Then I continued to Obor, picking up a small bottle without the recycling symbol at one point and placing that label on it, but when I meant to try to put it into a machine from Kaufland I found that none were working, so I continued to Penny, where I just wasted some time, putting everything in a cabinet, without trying to put that bottle in the machine, and then just retrieving my things and going to Auchan, where I entered with everything… But the machine wasn’t working there either. Either way, I was there mainly for water for dad and liquid soap, but I also got some other things, using the amount that was on the store card at the self-checkout and walking away with the purchases in bags.
After entering that mall, it took me a while to find the machine in the parking lot, having forgotten where it was, and it was a complete waste of time anyway, since it didn’t accept that bottle on which I had placed that label, so I put the bottle in the recycling bin, but still kept that label and the can, which I didn’t see any reason to even try again. Then I washed my hands and put my things in a cabinet, and when I was in the pet area I butted into a conversation between a guy and an employee about the deep discount for some cat food that I’d have also been interested in, for my mother, before realizing that it only applied for two specific kinds. But the labels didn’t specify that and the guy seemed to be able to get the discount for all kinds after pressing the issue, though I didn’t try to do the same. Either way, I then got more expiring bread for dad, which was sliced and slightly cheaper than the one which I had bought from the other location, so I shouldn’t have bought that one, but there’d have been no way to know that then. And among the expiring products I also found some fluffy flatbread that was actually expired but seemed fine and I was actually looking for something like that for that evening, so I took one. Then I also got corn puffs, which were among the products that generated those vouchers with 20% of the value those days, and two sweet pastries from the bakery area, since they had started making the evening discounts.
The problem was that so many products were left and since they bag and label each of them in that area when they make the evening discounts, I knew that it was going to take a long time before they’ll get to the bread that I wanted, so I had a choice to make and when I saw that it was already 9:20 PM I decided to give up on also checking Kaufland, going to take some more onions before returning to the bakery area and waiting. A few other customers asked for what they wanted and had those products bagged and labeled earlier, but I hoped I won’t need to… Until it was past 9:45 PM and I was worried that the self-checkouts that accept cash will be closed, so a couple of minutes later I finally asked for that bread and an employee labeled it and gave it to me, and I could still use a self-checkout, getting just in front of the employee who was most likely there to close it.
After retrieving my things, going to the toilet and walking out of that mall, I arranged everything properly, putting the pack of water and a few other things in the large backpack and walking away at 10:10 PM. And on the way back it was probably a good thing that the weight slowed me down on at least two occasions, if not even three. In the first case, I wasn’t at the crossing yet, so I was just surprised by the speed of the long limousine that rushed past, but then, as I was exiting this park, a car drove past with a fair bit of speed on the sidewalk, passing right in front of me, the slope and the parked cars making it impossible to see each other until the last moment, and when I crossed the street, the car on the first lane stopped but the one on the second one sped right past it, once again passing just in front of me. Either way, I also quickly checked the nearby Mega Image when I got here, leaving the bags from my hands in front of the cabinets and then picking them back up after seeing that the expiring products area was empty.
I got back a couple of minutes after 11 PM, with over 21 kg, and I went to wash almost right away, after which I stayed in my room for a while and only put the purchases in their place after that. Then I ate a banana, a sweet pastry and most of a large bag of corn puffs that I already had, washed what was in the kitchen, and used that flatbread and some more of the soft parts of that cheese which I had purchased a few days earlier as the base for a kind of pizza that turned out really good, but I only ate that, as a combined lunch and dinner, between 4:55 AM and 6 AM. And I got in bed at 7:10 AM.

Well, just before 10:55 AM dad dropped something while getting ready to leave and woke me up, and while I got back in bed after peeing and exchanging a few words with him, it was once again hard to get back to sleep, or to stay asleep when I eventually did, so I just caught a couple of brief naps before finally getting up, even though it was past 1:20 PM when I did so. And, despite feeling so sleepy during the evening, I didn’t get back in bed. And that night I ate dinner between 3:25 AM and 4 AM, and only finally got in bed at 5:25 AM, at which point I was worried that it seemed that the tooth where I had all that work done, where I have the crown, was bothering me a little, though after getting in bed I had the impression that the feeling actually came from another one, and it eventually lessened. Either way, that morning some more noise made by dad woke me up at pretty much the same time as the previous morning, and it took longer to get back in bed, since he was looking for something and I helped him with that and then put back what he had thrown all over. But at least I could get back to sleep after that, albeit still not immediately, and I woke up again around 2 PM, though it was several minutes past 2:30 PM when I actually got up. And then I ordered the main NVMe as well. And at least that night I managed to finish eating dinner at 3:40 AM, though I only started at 3:20 AM.

Since two days earlier I had received an e-mail stating that the CPU had been picked up by the delivery company, it seemed likely that it was going to be delivered on November 11 and I only had large bills and wasn’t sure whether the delivery person would have change, or even want to give all of it without me really pressing, so I didn’t want to receive it then, not that I had anything to do with it on its own anyway, and when I checked the provided link there was no option to reschedule, so I set my phone to silent… But it was hard to sleep even so, at least after waking up the first time, around 8:45 AM, and seeing that I already had an SMS notifying me that it was indeed going to be delivered that day. And after going to pee I checked that link again and still didn’t have any option to reschedule, so I got back in bed and even though it was several minutes after 2:30 PM when I got up, I just got some brief and agitated naps during that time. And I had been called by the delivery person, but if I didn’t answer and the intercom was also off, I guess he didn’t make it to the door, so I just had an e-mail stating that they hadn’t been able to reach me and will try again the next day, which was just what I wanted.
However, the plan for that day was to also pick up a Windows 10 Professional kit, since even then I knew that I shouldn’t even try to put everything on the Linux plan, and that kit was on sale at that store that I purchased the PSU and UPS from. But whether I had somehow misread the availability before or they had just sold out of those from their own stock, after getting up I realized that it was listed as in the supplier’s stock, not their own, so I couldn’t just go and pick it up, and I also had to pay a small fee even if I went there once they’ll received it. But I still had to go out, so after eating lunch and doing the day’s squats, I went to drop a tiny bag of trash down the chute, since dad hadn’t taken it when he had left in the morning, came back to wash my hands, and left at 6 PM.
I first went to Tei, getting quite a lot of teas, but one had been listed as in limited stock on the site, which should mean no more than two, yet I found three… Only for the cashier to say that she couldn’t sell me the third one right away because it’s not in the system, asking whether I wanted to wait a few minutes for someone to enter it, but I just bought the rest, rather baffled by that situation, and walked out with all of them in a bag, because I wanted to also reach the farmers’ market before 7 PM. However, even if I was there just before that time, it was closed and nobody was inside, so it hadn’t just closed then, and it might have been closed all day, since I saw a message on the gate, but didn’t stay to read it. And checking that Mega Image, putting that bag in a cabinet that didn’t lock and then retrieving it, proved to be another little waste of time.
Then I went to Carrefour, grabbing a recyclable from that mall but deciding against going to the machine just for that. And, after looking around and finding that most cabinets were gone and the ones that were left were full, I ended up leaving that bottle under the recycling bin for batteries, tying the bag and entering with it, after asking the guard to put a sticker on the knot. And I wasted a lot of time to get just a few things, but since those included a piece of bread which I had grabbed from the expiring products and I didn’t want to risk finding that it wasn’t in the system, I used a self-checkout to confirm that it did scan, then asked an employee to cancel that before going to a regular checkout, since at that time it was still required to use those if you wanted to pay with cash in that location. And then I retrieved that bottle, which was still there, and took my time to put everything in the backpack.
When I reached Kaufland, I put that bottle in the machine, then put the backpack in a cabinet, but after taking a catalog and looking through it, I struggled to add it in the backpack as well before going to pee and wash my hands and entering the store right at 9 PM. But there were no evening discounts for fruits and vegetables and just some bakery products were at half price, and I scanned a few labels and confirmed that those that didn’t have discount labels weren’t discounted. But a sweet pastry had a pretty good regular discount those days, so I took one, then grabbed two yogurts and looked around until bakery discounts of 75% were announced and I rushed back there, but I didn’t push my way between the others who were crowding in that area, to the point that the employee rather snapped at them in annoyance to at least give her room to place the discount labels, so I stood around for a while, until the labels were placed, before taking some buns, including some that I was going to use instead of bread, and one of those walnut breads. Those sweet pastries still didn’t get any additional discount, but there was nothing else that I’d have cared to get, so I kept that one. And I also grabbed an expiring product for my mother, but at the self-checkout I accidentally scanned it at the regular price, since the discount label wasn’t placed over the regular QR code, so I had to call over an employee to sort that out, and then I also used the voucher received for that recyclable and I was just done when the closing announcement came. Then I retrieved and arranged my things, walking away at 10:05 PM. And on the way back I checked the Mega Image that closes at 11 PM and the non-stop one, putting the bags in a cabinet and entering with the backpack both times, but then just retrieving my things and walking away, though at the non-stop one I found a 0.50 RON coin and took it.
I got back a little after 10:50 PM, then cleaned the litter box and dropped a bag of trash down the chute, put the purchases in their place, ate an apple and that sweet pastry, washed what was in the kitchen, and at 12:40 AM I went to the bathroom, to use the toilet and shower. Exactly one hour later, I was out, and then I even managed to stick to the dinner schedule. And then I ordered an USB stick as well, and sent a question about the Windows 10 kit which I had ordered, since I realized that it was made by some third party and meant to switch to the somewhat cheaper version that contained just the license key, but the fact that it was listed as being delivered electronically but I still had to select a delivery method and pay for delivery was confusing. And I’ll add here that the reply just confirmed that the key’s delivered by e-mail, but didn’t say anything else, and there was no further reply when I repeated the question about the delivery method and fees, and with much cheaper keys available elsewhere, I ended up just ignoring that order when it was eventually available to be picked up.

Getting back to that morning, after waking up coughing twice, apparently after choking on saliva, around 10 AM I was woken up again, that time by knocking on the door, without a ring on the intercom first and definitely without a call, even though when I had ordered the NVMe, since that was being delivered at that point, I had requested the delivery to be after 3 PM, with a phone call first. But, after fumbling a little, I unlocked the door, opening it in my pajamas, saw where the package was from and rushed back to my room for the money, then picked up scissors, at which point something fell off them, so I hope that it was just some dirt and not a spider, and that it didn’t end up on me, and then I told the delivery guy that I wanted to take a look in the package, the option having been selected when I ordered, and dashed back to the kitchen to see better, but he just called after me to take the receipt, so I went back and did that and then he left. But everything seemed all right when I did look, at least. And a few minutes after 10:30 AM I got back in bed… Only for dad to call me over around 11:10 AM, not that I had managed to fall asleep anyway, because of a repeated problem with his computer. And, while I once again got back in bed after sorting that out for the moment, I was still awake around 11:40 AM, when the other delivery guy, delivering the CPU, called, so I threw the training t-shirt over the pajamas and waited, but it was some ten minutes later when he actually arrived, and he rounded up the amount he asked for, adding 1 RON, which I really frowned at when they add a “payment processing fee” if you pay on delivery, and I had the exact amount anyway, so I gave him that and he said that it was fine, and he actually waited a moment for me to open the box.
A little after 1:10 PM I finally got back in bed one more time and did catch another nap, but a few minutes before 3 PM I woke up to pee again and, even though I then got back in bed and it was almost 4:50 PM when I finally got up for good, I doubt that I fell asleep again during those nearly two remaining hours, or if I did, it was for mere moments, once or at most twice. And I still didn’t know what to do about the Windows, so I sent some questions to those selling much cheaper keys through the biggest on-line store from here. But at least I sorted out the problem with dad’s computer, replacing the BIOS battery. And in the evening I napped a little more, after discussing that possible much cheaper Windows order with dad and asking him to make the choice while he said that at that price he’d also get one, since he’ll likely find himself forced to switch from Windows 7 as well and that’s cheap enough to be worth not “pirating” it directly, but he’ll go with anything I choose, so nothing was done at that moment.

On November 15, I did the day’s squats, ate lunch, and left at 6:20 PM. The plan would have been to go with dad, so he could pay with the card when we’ll pick up those cheap Windows 10 keys from a delivery spot nearby, but despite having received the message that they were going to be dropped off there that day, the tracking stated that they hadn’t even left the delivery company’s central warehouse, outside of the city, by that point. But I didn’t want to stay in, so I stuck to what I had planned to do after that, which was going to Carrefour Unirii, to see what I’ll find.
I just grabbed a recyclable on the way, and since several people with large bags were standing in line at the machine when I got there, I didn’t wait, and instead of entering with it I left it behind a van, next to a wall, then got the fabric softener that I had gone there for and a bag of spoiling apples, not charging myself for the bag that I was forced to use at the self-checkout and also using the voucher received for previous purchases. Then I put the purchases in the backpack… But that van was no longer there when I walked out, and neither was the recyclable.
At least I found three more recyclables on the way back, and I was making a detour to that Kaufland that’s on that route, so I put them in the machine from there, then put my things in a cabinet, after initially meaning to enter with them but then coming back from the bathroom to do so. Then I peed and washed my hands, and it was almost 8:40 PM when I entered the store, and I had heard the 50% bakery discounts being announced while I was in the bathroom. But the better cheap buns were gone and the others didn’t have a discount label, so I took the single one left of another kind and, after scanning the label of another kind of sweet pastries and confirming that they weren’t discounted, the last two of the only kind of sweet pastries that I could have any interest in and which were discounted. Then I also took a yogurt and, from the expiring products, a bag of brown rice, after which, with no evening discounts for fruits and vegetables that I cared about, I asked the employee from that area about green onions, since none were left, and she said that they had none, and when I pointed out that they guarantee to have them at all times she said that they have them in the morning and their stock just runs out. So, after also using the voucher received for the recyclables at the self-checkout, I went to the information desk and asked for that 10 RON voucher, thinking that doing it just the second time since they started offering these guarantees when they’re out of green onions so often was fair enough, but the employee told me that they no longer had vouchers to give, had been out of them for a few days, and to try again some other day… So much for a guarantee.
After retrieving my things and arranging the purchases, on the way back I also checked a Mega Image, putting my things in a cabinet that had padlocks, which I don’t think I had ever seen in a Mega Image before, but which didn’t actually lock, the handle moving freely even after entering the code. But I just left it in the closed position, had a quick look in the store and then retrieved my things. And I picked up another recyclable on the way back.
I was back a couple of minutes after the start of the match, then I put the purchases in their place, ate one of the apples and one of those pastries that turned out to be mainly greasy, with little sweetness and just a piece of one raisin inside, not even a whole one, cleaned the litter box, went to drop a bag of trash down the chute, and towards the end of the match I also ate a small bag of bagels… And then I waited all that time while the match was suspended. Admittedly, I spent most of it washing and cleaning in the kitchen, so it wasn’t wasted time, but I could have gone to the bathroom and been done by the time the match was actually abandoned. As it was, I only went after that, a few minutes before 1 AM, using the toilet and washing, and it was past 1:50 AM when I was done. And it was 20 minutes later when I went to the kitchen, since I first spent some time on the computer, also seeing that the order was still at the delivery company’s central warehouse. And there were a few more things to wash, and I ended up eating dinner between 3:30 AM and 4 AM. And when I got in bed that order was supposedly en route to the local warehouse of the delivery company… But early in the morning I received an e-mail from the store listing November 19 as the new estimated delivery date, and in the afternoon the package was once again listed as being in the delivery company’s central warehouse.

On the morning of November 17, I got in bed at 5:20 AM, after being bitten my something, probably a spider, on a finger after moving the motherboard and PSU off the floor. And then, after eating lunch and doing the day’s squats, I went out a few minutes before 7 PM, taking those other things that I take to Kaufland and rushing there, after seeing on-line that the closing time had changed to 8 PM on Sunday. And I put those things in what may be the appropriate bin after I got there, then washed my hands and entered the store when it was past 7:20 PM, and at first it seemed like I was wasting my time, not seeing good evening discounts for anything that I was interested in and not finding expiring products to get either, but after 7:30 PM great evening discounts did appear for fruits and vegetables, so I got plenty, and would have gotten more, picking until the closing announcement came, the one concerning thing being that the employee from that area had a bad cold, even saying so, and was coughing on everything. But at least I finally got pumpkins as well, two of them, even if they weren’t as dirt cheap as the rest, but getting a 50% evening discount did make the price lower than what it had been when there had been regular discounts before and they were always sold out. And then I waited in the pretty long line at the self-checkouts, and after using the machine I took quite some time to arrange the purchases and also quickly washed my hands again, using the room for disabled people, so it was past 8:20 PM when I finally walked out, and then I found a recyclable in the parking lot and stopped to put it in a bag and also put my gloves on.
Since I had dad’s metro card, I then went to Dristor and took the metro to Obor, finding two more recyclables in that mall, putting all three in the machine, peeing and washing my hands, and putting my things in a cabinet. And I found another recyclable in Carrefour, so I picked it up before grabbing a few expiring products and also two bakery products, which had the 50% discount. And the bakery employees were moving all of those discounted products when I got to that area and one told the other to take a bag which had opened, so I said that I’ll do it and picked it up, which made that employee ask in confusion whether I wanted that product, so I said that I was just taking it so she’ll be able to drop off the rest, which seemed to confuse her even more. Either way, when I wanted to use the self-checkouts I found that, even though it was almost half an hour before closing time, three of those that accepted cash were closed and an employee was feeding cash into the fourth, so after waiting around a little I used a regular checkout, without using that voucher received for the recyclables.
After retrieving my things and arranging a little, I went to put that recyclable which I had picked up in the machine as well… And when I got there the bag in which I had put those expiring products fell from my hand and the yogurt got quite banged up, but at least it didn’t actually crack. And the guy who was using the machine at the time had a plastic bottle of a kind that I know Carrefour’s machines don’t accept, so I told him that, and also that all others do, but after trying a few times he just dumped it in one of the bins, and I wanted to wait for him and the other person who was there to leave before picking it up, so I moved aside and tried to find a better way to carry the purchases, which took a while, and by the time I looked in that bin, that bottle wasn’t there anymore, so I guess the other person had picked it up. But I found another recyclable after walking out, then took the metro back, managing to arrange the purchases in a way that allowed me to carry them better while on the train, the unpleasant part being that after getting up I noticed a piece of paper, possibly tissue, and a damp spot on the seat which I had sat on, so I tried to check the back of my pants in the mirror that’s there for the conductor before the train left and got honked at. Either way, I grabbed another recyclable on the way back.
I got here just before 10:25 PM, with some 17.5 kg, and I had 45.5 kg… And dad had cooked and wanted to take a bath, so while he did that I ate an orange and the sweet pastry from Carrefour, cleaned the litter box and went to drop a bag of trash down the chute, washed almost everything that was to wash and cleaned a little in the kitchen, and put the purchases in their place, with the exception of the carrots. And it was 12:40 AM when I went to take a bath as well, being done at 1:30 AM, after which I also put the carrots in their place, peeling and boiling some of them for the salad, washed a couple of remaining things, also moved something into a jar, took a pill, just in case, considering that employee’s coughing, and finally ate dinner between 4:10 AM and 4:40 AM. And I got in bed at 6:05 AM.

After freeing the old computer case during the evening, the following night I started eating dinner at 3:15 AM, but actually finished at 3:35 AM. However, I still ended up getting in bed at 5:20 AM… And, after waking up just after 10:50 AM to pee, I tossed and turned until dad left, and then only managed a long series of very brief and agitated naps, each lasting mere moments, producing dreams that were mostly about the computer situation, seemed all too “real”, and ended when things invariably went very badly right away and I woke up with a start, so I caught very little actual sleep despite only deciding to get up after finally checking the time again and seeing that it was 2:35 PM. And there had been no change with the Windows 10 order, so I then sent a support message to the store to ask about it, chatting a little with a support person but in the end just being told that they’ll contact me when they’ll know more. And in the evening I decided to temporarily put the new components in the old case and updated the BIOS.

On November 21, I did 200 squats, since I hadn’t done them the previous day, shaved, and left at 5:45 PM, with the recyclables with the deposit symbol… And a small piece of fish which I had found fallen on the table after taking the rest out the previous evening and which I intended to give to the first stray cat I saw, but since that cat ran away from me and then I strangely didn’t see another, I ended up coming back with it, not even going to leave it behind the building, since I was rushing to pay the maintenance bill and didn’t go back down after that.
But, to get back to the chronological order of things, I went to Obor, putting the recyclables in the machine from Carrefour, getting a few expiring products and a tea and using the voucher received for the recyclables and the two left from the previous time I was there at the self-checkout… And my right hip once again bothered me while I was in Carrefour, the pain going away after that, though I kept rushing, going to Penny and putting my things in cabinet, but not finding the cooking oil which I had seen on a site should have been cheaper there, so I just bought some tomato juice, standing in line for quite a while in order to do so. Then I retrieved my things, added the tomato juice in the backpack, and went to Auchan, having no time to also check Kaufland. And I found a recyclable on the way, so I put it in the machine from Auchan, after wasting a little time to look for a toilet in that shopping center and not seeing any and then entering with everything, since there were no cabinets there anymore. And I got the one egg sold by piece that was left and some sweets for dad, using the voucher received for that recyclable and the small amount that was on the store card at the self-checkout.
If I badly needed to pee even before entering Auchan, by then the situation was desperate and I barely made it to the toilet from that park, then hurried back, grabbing a few more recyclables on the way… And bumping into dad when I was getting close. But it was almost 9 PM and the guy who takes the money for the maintenance bill was supposed to stay until 9:10 PM, so after just exchanging a couple of words I rushed ahead, dropped off the bags and backpack and paid that bill. And dad had picked up the Windows 10 keys, so the following day I installed and activated it on the new computer. And I’ll also mention here that no visits were recorded on November 22.
